Recipe #46: Beer Float

I think it is during these summer months that every good meal is ended well with ice cream. Additionally, I had a doctor's appointment this afternoon and since I hate going to the doctor for any reason Ian promised me yogurt or ice cream afterwards. (Yes, he spoils me...) So I made sure I kept this promise in mind tonight when we visited the grocery store.

Well this recipe was actually my idea because it was during my last year in college that I thought to make these. At the time I had no idea that beer floats actually existed. This blog: http://thedabble.com/blog/announcement-lambic-floats/ and I had the exact same thoughts. So while there is no root beer in this ice cream float I will say that both Ian and myself were "rooting" for this creation.

Ingredients:

* 1 pint of Vanilla Ice Cream
* Raspberry Lambic Beer (or your favorite flavor)

Cooking Directions:

First, place 2 scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream in a glass.

Then pour the raspberry lambic beer over the top of the ice cream.

Place a spoon in the glass and serve right away. (And in agreeance with the above blogger, go back for seconds!)
