Recipe #72: Homemade Potato Chip Fries

Since we love potato chips anyway you can imagine how eager I was to try these. I always get excited when it comes to frying anything in oil. No, it's not healthy but whenever I hear the sizzle I know it's gonna be so good! Luckily the preparation requires some time with the thin slicing of the potatoes otherwise I would make these every day...

These chips were very greasy but hot damn were they good. It was hard to only eat a handful, I'll tell you that much. This recipe was inspired by Ian as this was a popular snack he would have as a kid. If you're not careful you will literally eat all of the chips in one sitting (not that I did that or anything).

Ingredients:

* 1 Russet Potato
* 3 large Cloves of Garlic
* 1/2 White Onion
* Vegetable Oil
*  1 tsp of Sea Salt

Cooking Directions:

On a cutting board slice the potato into thin 1/2 cm thick slices.

Mince the garlic and the onion.

Cook the garlic and onion over medium heat with a liberal amount of vegetable oil in a large frying pan.

Add the potato slices into the oil and cook until the potatoes are golden brown.

Pour the potatoes onto a a plate that is covered in a couple layers of paper towels to drain the oil.
