Recipe #82: Sauteed Corn Dish

We went to the State Fair this summer to see the animals like the piggies and the horses, which I always really enjoying seeing when we visit. Last year when we went to the fair Ian and I ate just about everything you could eat but this year the only thing we bought was a lemon shake-up! I'm still surprised that is the only thing we bought considering how tempted we were to eat another ridiculous creation like the Doughnut Burger.

But one item I'm particularly surprised we did not eat is corn on the cob. It is always cooked perfectly and then it is generously coated in butter with salt and pepper. If you don't have a grill than cooking corn can be a challenge, at least with what I've found to be true of my own cooking. I stumbled upon this recipe: http://southernfood.about.com/od/cornrecipes/r/bln150.htm and I couldn't believe how tasty it turned out. It wasn't quite like the fair but it certainly satisfied my craving for some good corn.

Ingredients:

* 1 bag of Steam Fresh Corn
* 2 Tbsp of Butter
* 1/2 tsp of Sea Salt
* 1 tsp of Sugar
* 1/4 tsp of Black Pepper

Cooking Directions:

Cook the Steam Fresh corn in the microwave.

In a large frying pan melt the butter over medium high heat.

Add the corn and cook until slightly golden brown.

Then add the salt, sugar, and pepper and cook until completely dissolved.

Serve hot.
